Choose the right monitor
for a better live sound experience
Is bigger really better? Not always. The fact that a smaller monitor is often sufficient—and can even sound more precise—surprises more musicians than you might think.
In practice:
• As long as a monitor can reach the lows your instrument requires and handle the level, there is no need for a bigger one.
• Resolution and midrange clarity are most critical to understand the notes being played.
• Good sounding passive monitors suggest quality components and design, yet many active monitors take pride in DSP (digital signal processing), but in reality are using it to compensate for the opposite qualities.
Recommended items from the catalog:
• RCF 310i and 310A- Powerful and resolute overall monitors. Loud enough for most open-airs too.
• RCF Art 300 (upgraded) - Suitable For a busy band, very forward midrange guarantees audibility. Great for the rhythm section.
